The Addmotor CityTri E-310 folding electric trike is equipped with a 750W motor installed in the rear end, which relies on a massive 48-volt Samsung battery and delivers up to 1400 watts of peak power. This trike offers three distinct riding modes: a conventional bike mode, motor-assisted pedaling, or full electric throttle control. Furthermore, you have the flexibility to select from seven levels of Pedal Assistance (PAS) to fine-tune the amount of extra power you desire while pedaling, enhancing the overall ease and efficiency of your ride. The trike uses a speed/ cadence sensor.
The 750W motor is impressively potent, generating an impressive 90 Newton meters of torque. Since the motor is not placed in front (like most other e-trikes), there is no wheel slippage even when navigating steep inclines on loose terrain. It’s worth mentioning that this phenomenon is common among all electric bikes and trikes featuring a front hub motor… but thanks to rear placement of the motor, that’s not the case with the E-310!
Performance Summary
Acceleration
During my test ride of the Addmotor CityTri E-310 electric trike on straight, well-paved roads, it exhibited an impressive acceleration thanks to its robust 750W motor that can emit a peak 1400W output. I could easily reach a top speed of 19mph in approximately 13 seconds under normal wind conditions. Once I hit that speed, the trike maintained a consistent pace throughout the entire ride following the brisk start.
Top Speed
The Addmotor CityTri E-310 comes with Class 2 compliance, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of roughly 20mph (well, 19mph to be precise). This speed is suitable for a wide range of riding scenarios. Nevertheless, it’s important to be aware that when making sharp turns at high speeds, the electric trike may slightly lean to one side (a common trait shared by most three-wheelers).
Hill Climb
During my test ride of the Addmotor CityTri E-310 on hilly terrain, I was genuinely impressed. It effortlessly conquered most of the hills I encountered, thanks to the impressive 90Nm of torque generated by the 750W motor. However, as the incline steepened, typically around 20 degrees, I did find myself needing to pedal a bit to assist the trike. I must admit, though, that the RAEV Bullet GT, which I recently tested, still holds the title of the ultimate hill conqueror, in my opinion!
Ride Quality
The Addmotor CityTri E-310 electric trike prioritizes your riding comfort above all else. It boasts a plush and well-cushioned seat complete with a supportive backrest, ensuring excellent comfort throughout your journeys. You also have the flexibility to modify the seat height and tailor the handlebar position to achieve the most ergonomic riding posture for your needs. The handlebars are thoughtfully designed with a slightly swept-back configuration, promoting an upright riding posture and providing convenient access to all controls.
The CityTri E-310 was quite nimble, and was able to execute remarkably tight maneuvers, with a really short turning radius. This agility makes it a breeze to navigate through crowded spaces. Nonetheless, when making sharp turns or corners at high speeds, you may observe some leaning behavior (but as I mentioned, this applies to all trikes and if you’ve had experience riding one before, it should come as no surprise).
Range
The Addmotor CityTri E-310 comes equipped with a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery, offering a claimed maximum range of 90 miles when utilizing the lowest pedal assist setting. Please note that this range may vary due to factors such as total weight, degree of inclines, and other variables. During my testing on flat terrain without any cargo, I achieved a distance of approximately 25.5 miles using the highest level of pedal-assist.

The CityTri E-310 has Tektro mechanical disc brakes, featuring 3 x 180 mm rotors on front and rear wheels, totaling three discs in all. The braking performance does leave a bit of room for improvement… I mean hydraulic brakes would have been a more favorable choice. However, there’s a silver lining as well. The CityTri E-310 also features a handy parking brake that lets you securely immobilize the trike whenever you’re stopping… be it a mid-ride break when running daily errands, or stopping on an incline.
Suspension
The CityTri E-310 is equipped with an 80mm travel front suspension fork to provide cushioning for surface irregularities. The fork helps ensure a comfortable ride on paved roads and delivers sufficient suspension for urban commutes. As I mentioned before, what sets Addmotor apart from other rivals is the exceptional value the brand offers for the money. Also, it must be noted that the CityTri E-310 costs the same for all 3 wheel sizes!

The Addmotor CityTri E-310 electric trike boasts a robust all-aluminum folding frame constructed from 7020 & 6061 aluminum alloy.
