Performance Review

The DRVETION BT20 electric bike features a motor with a sustained power output of 750 W and a peak output of 900 W, as well as a torque of 80 Nm. It includes a throttle and three pedal-assist levels, allowing riders to choose the level of assistance they require for their journey.

The bike also comes equipped with a cadence sensor, which adjusts the motor’s assistance according to the rider’s pedaling effort. The DRVETION BT20 is a high-performance electric bike that provides a smooth and efficient ride, suitable for riders looking for speed and comfort.

Performance Summary

Top Speed
27.2mph (43.7km/h)
Range
18.6 miles
Acceleration (0 to 43.7 kph)
22 seconds
Braking Distance (45 to 0 kph)

Acceleration

The Drvetion BT20 delivers a comfortable and consistent acceleration that avoids the rough sensation often associated with e-bikes that use higher voltage. Though It can be very zippy, the acceleration kicks in instantly, and it can still give a good start. The motor torque of 80Nm delivers a smooth ride.

Range

The DRVETION BT20 E-bike is equipped with a Samsung 21700 50E battery that has a capacity of 48V 10Ah. It’s good to hear that they are using such a reliable battery brand. However, it’s unfortunate that the battery has only 10Ah, which may be a deal-breaker for many riders.

While the range of 18.6 miles may not be suitable for longer rides or commutes, it should be sufficient for shorter trips or recreational use. It’s important to keep in mind that the range can be affected by various factors such as rider weight, terrain, and weather conditions.

Ride Quality

The DRVETION B20 electric scooter delivers zippy acceleration and nimble steering, with a responsive throttle and comfortable riding posture. The steering is nimble and agile, making cornering okay. The power delivery is responsive, and the throttle is as good as any other with a cadence sensor.

The weight distribution is not very stable, with the center of weight being towards the rear, and the front wheel tends to lift easily. The saddle is pretty comfortable, although the brand is unknown. The riding posture is good, comfortable, and not cramped, with an adjustable seat and handlebar height. During the short ride, there was no stress on the shoulder and back.

Braking

The braking distance of DRVETION BT20 from 42.2 km/h to 0 was consistently impressive, measuring 13.6m, 13.3m, and 13.4m respectively. The DRVETION BT20 is equipped with hydraulic/oil disc brakes, and the brake rotors have a diameter of 160mm. Additionally, the DRVETION BT20 features motor/power cut-off levers, and the brakes were highly responsive during the test.

Suspension

The front hydraulic suspension is adjustable and lockable

The overall feel of the suspension is decent, but the DRVETION BT20 is not recommended for offroading. The absence of a seat post-suspension may be a drawback for some riders, but it’s still pretty comfy for regular use.

Plus, its foldable feature makes it a great option for those who want a portable and compact e-bike.

Tires

Equipped with 20×4CST tires, the BT20 delivers exceptional handling and stability. With knobby tire treads and a puncture-resistant design, the DRVETION BT20 is built to handle anything you throw at it. While the bike’s suspension may not be its strongest suit, you can still rely on its fat tire to go where you need to go with ease.

Lights

The DRVETION BT20 is equipped with a powerful front light and a rear brake light that ensures visibility on the road.

Conclusion

DRVETION BT20 electric bike has a solid build quality and a nice headlight that lights up your way.

The bike’s rear seat provides a stable foundation, but the weight distribution could benefit from improvement to ensure a smoother ride. However, I appreciate the throttle and the features that come standard with this bike.

Even though its price is slightly higher than its competitors, the DRVETION BT20 bike proves that it can give a better riding experience with its impressive features, sturdy build quality, and resilient knobby tires.
