As a daily commuter, I have always been curious about whether the Engine Pro electric bike would be suitable for my needs. I have heard mixed reviews about it being excessively heavy, but an excellent e-bike nonetheless. However, after riding it, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Despite its weight, the bike was incredibly powerful on both off-road and city terrains, rode exceptionally well, and could carry a lot of weight with ease.

Performance Review

With its 750W brushless hub motor and 48V 16Ah power source, the Engwe Engine Pro is a powerful e-bike that can be operated via both a throttle and a pedal assist. During my test ride, the bike’s performance gave me quite a good experience. 

Despite its weight of 37.8 kg, the motor provided ample power, allowing me to quickly reach a top speed of 23.6 mph. The bike’s acceleration was smooth, though sometimes there is a slight lag on the pedal assist, overall it handled hills with ease, thanks to its ergonomic design.

One of the pleasant surprises during my test ride was the bike’s range. For its price point, I was impressed to find that it had a range of 62.1 miles. However, this range may vary depending on individual usage.

Another surprising aspect of the bike was how it handled its weight. Despite being quite heavy, it was surprisingly easy to ride, and I didn’t feel weighed down at all. Overall, the Engwe Engine Pro is a powerful, versatile e-bike that exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and handling.

Additionally, the charging time for the Engwe Engine Pro is somehow fast, taking only 5-6 hours to charge the battery fully. But what I love about this e-bike is that they made the battery inside the body making the overall design clean!

Conclusion

I have been thoroughly impressed with the Engwe Engine Pro e-bike. It has a 20″ tire size, which makes it good for all-terrain competitors.
