Zora Master may be fresh on the scene, offering just two products for now, but it’s already making a big impression. The brand’s latest offering, the Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike, takes inspiration from RadRunner 3 Plus and adds its own unique flair. Let’s have a brief look into the features and capabilities of this cargo e-bike, and see what sets it apart in the market.

Multiple Storage Points

The Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike is designed with multiple storage options, including a front rack, a rear rack, and two foldable running boards. These running boards not only provide a flat surface for passengers to rest their feet but can also serve as additional storage space. You can easily attach and detach them using the mounting points… and when not needed, you can simply fold them up to save space.

With a total load capacity of 400lbs, the Zora Master cargo e-bike can handle a significant amount of payload, making it a versatile choice for transporting both passengers and cargo. To further enhance its functionality, you also have the option to add numerous accessories such as a front basket, rear delivery rack, or a rear delivery bag, allowing you to customize the bike to suit your specific needs.

Frame & Build

The Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike features a mid-step aluminum alloy frame that strikes a balance between durability and weight. This frame design makes it easier to mount and dismount the bike, providing a convenient option for riders of various heights. The handlebar stem is adjustable, allowing riders to set it to their preferred height and angle. The seat is also height adjustable, and has a soft padding with shock absorption.

Additionally, the Zora Master cargo e bike is also equipped with a sturdy center kickstand made of aluminum alloy. The double legs of the kickstand provide stability, making it effortless to park and stand the bike securely as you load it up with cargo. The presence of front and rear fenders is another practical feature, as they help to keep you and your cargo protected from splashes and debris in different weather conditions.

Motor & Performance

The Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike is equipped with a 48V 750W Bafang hub motor. With up to 80Nm of torque, this motor is capable of effortlessly propelling the bike even with heavy cargo loads of up to 400lbs. The bike offers a 5-level pedal-assist system, allowing you to choose the level of assistance you desire during your ride… and the maximum speed is capped at 25mph to ensure a balanced blend of performance and safety.

Battery & Range

The Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike is equipped with a 48V 15Ah (720Wh) lithium-ion battery featuring Samsung cells. With a single charge, the battery provides a claimed range of 35 to 60 miles, depending on factors such as terrain, payload, and level of pedal assistance used. The range is not too much (maybe a bit less for delivery riders)… but sufficient for your daily tasks and usual commute.

The removable design of the battery adds convenience, allowing you to easily take it home or to the office for charging. The battery is neatly integrated within the frame, providing a sleek and streamlined appearance… and is waterproof. Charging the battery is also a breeze. The 48V 3A charger can top it up in 4 hours, allowing you to quickly get back on the road with minimal downtime.

Other Features

The Zora Master Electric Cargo Bike comes with a range of additional features that enhance its functionality and ensure a safe and enjoyable riding experience. The bike is equipped with a 7-speed Shimano Acera drivetrain, allowing you to easily shift gears and find the optimal speed for different terrains and riding conditions. This versatility is especially useful when navigating urban streets or tackling hilly routes.

To ensure reliable stopping power, the bike features dual hydraulic disc brakes. These brakes provide excellent control and responsiveness, allowing you to safely and confidently bring the bike to a stop, especially when carrying heavy loads. You also have front and rear lights for improved visibility and safety. Moving on, the bike is fitted with 20×4″ KENDA fat tires, which offer a good balance between stability, traction, and comfort.

It’s worth noting that this Zora Master electric bike does not include a suspension system. This means that the bike’s performance may be limited on rough or uneven terrain. However, for urban roads and smoother surfaces, the bike remains an efficient and reliable choice… thanks to the fat tires and saddle suspension.

Final Thoughts

The Zora Master cargo electric bike offers an array of features that make it a versatile and practical option for riders in need of a capable cargo hauler. With multiple storage points, a sturdy frame design, a powerful motor, and a fairly lasting battery, this bike is well-equipped to handle the demands of daily commuting, grocery runs, or even leisurely rides.

Priced at $1,799, the Zora Master ebike offers a great value. This is especially true when you factor in the included front rack, rear rack, running boards, and fenders. The bike packs all essential features such as Shimano drivetrain, integrated lights, and hydraulic brakes. And while it lacks suspension for off-roading, it still has fat tires and saddle shocks.

The range might not be sufficient to meet the commuting needs of delivery professionals, but adequate for most other users. So, yeah, a fair deal for the tag… Still, if you’re looking for something cheaper, don’t forget to check out my top picks under $1000!
